"Bad" Diesels
Devious Diesel
Class: BR 08 0-6-0 Color: Black First Appearance: Pop Goes the Diesel
Bio: Devious Diesel, more commonly referred to as Diesel, is a diesel engine who is rude to the others, particularly steam engines. Diesel came on loan to Sodor and Duck was chosen to show him around. He is incredibly rude, and he is known for his rivalry with "Stinky Steamies." He has been to Sodor countless times, and every time, he is sent home. The Fat Controller always gives him another chance, but Diesel never seems to learn sense. During his first visit to Sodor, he became a laughing stock among the engines and the trucks in the yards. He believed it was Duck's fault, and spread rumors about, he was soon found out, however, and was sent packing. Even though he is incredibly rude and plays tricks, he is now welcome on Sodor anytime since he came to the rescue after Clarabel derailed near Dryaw. It is without a doubt that his biggest rival is Thomas.
'Arry & Bert
Class: BR 08 0-6-0 Color: Dark Grey with Yellow Hazard Stripes First Appearance: Stepney Gets Lost
Bio: Iron 'Arry and Iron Bert are two diesel engines that work in the smelter yards, but also spend time working at the quarry. They once tried to scarp Stepney, but The Fat Controller came just in time to save him. They have a tendency to cause engines to be "Middle Engines." There are three ways to tell them apart. 'Arry's eyes are narrower, Bert has a five o'clock shadow, and Bert also has a deep West London accent.
Diesel 10
Class: BR 42 with Claw Color: Olive Green with Yellow Hazard Stripes First Appearance: Thomas and the Magic Railroad
Bio: Diesel 10 is a mean, evil diesel who has tried to destroy all the steam engines on the Island of Sodor. He once succeeded in destroying Lady, a very special steam engine. When she came back, he chased both Lady and Thomas until they reached a crumbling viaduct, which Lady and Thomas narrowly crossed before it collapsed. Diesel 10, however, had no such luck. He fell down the viaduct, and landed on a barge. The last words he said were, "Ah well. At least it's a nice day for a cruise!" He wasn't seen again until the full-length special, Calling All Engines! In the special, he appears to be very mean. However, in the end, when the engines need his help to open a new airport, he finally shows his good side, and a smile is seen on his face for the first time.
